The Naval Academy Band’s Crabtowne Stompers will be performing at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis, MD on Saturday, August 1 at 6:30 p.m. The United States Naval Academy Band, “The Navy’s Oldest and Finest,” has been providing music for the Brigade of Midshipmen and surrounding community since 1852. Located at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, this premier military band offers world-class ensembles which perform a variety of musical styles, ranging from classical to contemporary. Rooted in the original New Orleans jazz music of the early 1900's, the Crabtowne Stompers fuses its music with modern funk and jazz elements. The creative improvisational and compositional techniques of its members make the Crabtowne Stompers' music truly innovative and unique. This concert is free and open to the public with no tickets required. Quiet Waters Park is located at 600 Quiet Waters Park Road in Annapolis.
